New stuff from eBay and some Christmas crafting♥

Howdy.

Didn't get any time to post last week even thought I had a day off.
But that means that now I have more to post about.

Firstly there's some stuff I got from eBay and lastly some Christmas cards and gifts I've made. Sadly this year I didn't have enough time to make all the cards myself, so all except the cards for Mom and Dad were bought, thought I did add some glitter and/or pears to them.
At least I managed to send them on time...

I am doing my best on the gifts part thought. Most I'll be making myself, unless I happen to see something that I think would fit someone perfectly.

Anyway, on with the show!

^ Here's the new stuff from eBay! Two pairs of earrings (the rose ones have tiny crystals inside♥), eyelash adhesive (Korean/Chinese cheap stuff is the best) a new mascara and some small brushes for small details. I tried to take some pictures of how the mascara looks but I failed..

.......

And next is couple new bags. Not from eBay thought.

^ We got these shopping bags at work and I fell in love with this one. And now I carry all the stuff I buy in it. So much better to carry than the average plastic bag.

^ And my early Christmas gift! My old big hand bag was.. well, old. And half dead. So it was time for a new one. And so it happened that after telling about seeing this lovely new bag at Sokos mall I was promised it.

.......

And now some artsy-fartsy craftings.

^ Hand made Christmas cards for Mom and Dad.

^ A hairband for my boss's daughter. The rose can also be taken off and worn as a brooch etc.

^ Added some pearls to the hairband to make it more interesting.

^ And nothing else but a pink high heel for the little Princess.

^ And a wreath. Might give this to my boss too, since the necklace feels a bit.. Well, not enough.

^ Closer.

.......

And that's it for today. Next post will be up most likely some day next week. Not on Sunday since we're having some guests here (Mom and my little brother♥). And tomorrow we're having a little Christmas part at work.

Anyway, next post might be about more eBay stuff if they get here. Or something else.

Byebye!♥

Yves Rocher order and what has been keeping me busy.

Good afternoon!

Nope. No eBay posts yet. I'm still waiting for some stuff to arrive, so it'll take some time.
But I did get something else!

There was a sale at Yves Rocher, so I thought, why not. I'll be saving a lot of money, plus get to try something new.

And I got a surprise gift with my order. Which is meant for people older than me but.. Sure I'll use it.

Here's the stuff I got!

^ Eau de Toilette - Lily of the Valley, Hair mask and night time cream for older skin. And a "Green book".

Best part is definitely the hair mask I got. First one that has actually worked for my hair. It makes my 'crows nest hair' so soft and smooth. Definitely worth the money.

And the Lily of the Valley Eau de Toilette! It smells fantastic, just like the real thing!

Lastly, I was quite unsure about the night cream, mainly because I'm not the target audience for the product, but I decided to give it a shot. So far so good. Usually night creams are way too greasy for my skin, and in the morning my skin feels very oily and nasty. But this one seems to be just fine. It absorbs very fast, smells nice and doesn't do anything bad to my sensitive skin. I like it. :)

And now for the next part!

I've been away from blogging for quite a while, thanks to me having so much work. So I thought I could at least share some of the things I've been doing there. Not to mention that the last few days before the next month we'll be very very busy. We'll be making a huge 450+ people cake for an event at Helsinki, and it's going to need a lot of decorations.
And I'm the one usually responsible for most, if not almost all, of the decorations on the cakes and cupcakes. But I do some of the baking too.

Anyway, here's some pictures from the past couple months.

^ Birthdaycake and a 1-year cake for a production company.

^ Small wedding cake.

^ Birthdaycakes

^ Company cupcakes and a gluten-free cello birthdaycake.

^ For Addams Family cupcakes!

And that's all for today, I hope I've got time to post next week, if not, I'll at least try to make a quick post about not having enough time >_>!

Anyway, Byebye!♥

Magazine & eBay! + Sorry for lateness!

EDIT:
Post below was actually written on Sunday the 15th. But I was so tired I had forgotten to actually publish it.. And realized it now! Laame...

Anyway.. Here it is, slightly late..
.......
.......

Good evening!
Well, almost good night. I should be asleep already. I need to get up early tomorrow, since I have a meeting with an important person. I'll tell more details later, when I find out what the big deal is about. But apparently it might be something great?!

Anyway, probably a busy week coming. We'll see.

...

So I was thinking I could tell more about those magazines I got! I read them again today and took some pics to show. There were some pretty nice things there, and I really liked some of the ad pages there. Yes, I'm a sucker for pretty ads.. >_>

Anyways, here are some of the interesting things I found!

^ 1. A new perfume from Katy Perry. Yup! A sucker for ads. I need to check this baby out next week.
2. And those shoes! They just look gorgeous :)

^ 3. Another pretty ad. This time from The Make Up Store. They have great eyeshadows and lipsticks!
4. Most delicious looking pages in the magazine. Yum!

^ 5. & 6. More pretty ads!♥

^ And then another magazine. From Glitter actually. I really loved the look this small booklet had. And the themes were great. I picked some of my favourites to show.

^ Had to pick these two for the last. Couple things I'd really love to try out at some point! Tiedye, long perfect waves and a floral headband.
Thought I've heard that those hair chalks don't really stick to naturally red hair :F

.......

Mmmm! Wouldn't believe how much I had fun just from reading those magazines.

Next is some of the new stuff I've gotten.
I'll add the pics and then tell about them under those. Tadah!

^ I went to the Sokos mall yesterday after work. There was a "Buy two Lumene Narutal Code products, get an eyeliner for free." Can't say no to eyeliners.
So I got myself a facial clay mask and a glitter nail varnish (red, blue and silver glitter). And after testing them out yesterday, I'm very pleased with them.
Not to mention that Lumene Narutal Code products aren't that expensive either!

.. I should've gotten myself a new mascara, while there..

^ Got a cute pink basket for my crafts! :D
And the pink polka dot thing is another eyeliner, from Korea (possibly..). This is my second one, and I really like it. It's the kind that you can just peel off of your eyes when you want to remove your makeup! Very nice :D

^ And then some of the eBay stuff I got! And some others. The first three I've gotten a while ago (wouldn't be surprised if I had already posted about them. Can't remember.). They're from Kone Helsinki. And in the second picture all the nail varnishes I got from Korea. From brands called Lioele and Etude House. And a friend gave me the black nail caviar. Still haven't tested it. But it looks fun!

^ And last, but not least! A new liptint. I'm also a sucker for these babies. I've wanted to have an orange one for so long and I finally found a promising one. And I love it. From the picture you can see how well it works, with just one coat! Very lovely. Lot's of freckles.

.......

Anyway, that's all for tonight. I'm getting really tired and as I told you, I need to get up early. So, see you next week!

.......
.......

Soo... I'll try to get the new post up later this week (the one I was supposed to post today..).

But a small report of my past week.

It indeed is something big and important. The thing I had on Monday. It is also the reason why I've been very stressed and tired this week. But maybe it'll be worth it.

I also went and got myself that new mascara. And that Katy Perry perfume. It is heavenly!

But yeah. I am so very tired. I'm off to bed.
Good night lovelies.

Quick DIY Face Toner.

Hello everyone!

As I promised, here's a quick DIY "tutorial", if you want to call it that.

So, first a list of what you'll be needing:

1. Water
2. Witch hazel water (I got mine from eBay, since it's nearly impossible to find some in Finland)
3. Rose water (optional & usually found in Middle Eastern shops and boutiques.)
4. Clear alcohol (optional)
5. Empty bottle (mine was clean plastic bottle, but if you like, you can also use a glass bottle.)

^ Alcohol not showing in the pictures.

.......

After that, it's time to start making your face toner!

Now, I didn't have any clear instructions to this, but it went somewhere along these lines:

1. Make sure your empty bottle is clean.
2. Pour the water into the bottle, filling it to 50%.
3. Now, if you only have the witch hazel, you can put water up to 75%, and rest witch hazel.
4. If you're using rose water, I put almost 25% + 25% of both in the bottle, leaving just a bit of space for the alcohol.
5. And as simple as that, it's done! Shake well.

Now, just a reminder, witch hazel is great for oily skin, or one with impurities. So if you have a very dry skin, I'd suggest using something else. Like rose water (thought mostly used for oily skin, I used it back when I still had very dry skin). That, or you can check the wonders of internet, and Google up some better DIY tutorials :)

After the toner is done, it's time to decorate your bottle (if you wish).
My bottle had some glue left to it's side from previous sticker, and I, being the lazy arse I am, didn't feel like rubbing the glue off. So to cover the glue, I made a small carton label to it.
But you don't have to do that. You can also make a small paper tag, and hang it to the bottle neck!

Anyway, here's another bad quality picture of what I made. Thought, I could've done better, but I wanted to give my new stamps a go, plus it was getting very late :P

^ Used black thin marker, fairy stamps and a bit of colouring pencils for this. Added a rose red ribbon for the final touch.

.......

Hopefully some of you found this useful, or even gave you some ideas/inspirations to try doing things yourself, it's very satisfying! ♥

And that's that!
I'll be going to Nummela next week for my father's birthday, but hopefully I get time to put up another post before that (I have couple of days when I have to go to my workplace and make a wedding cake topper, which takes some time to make.)!

Anyway, have a nice rest of the week, and hopefully we'll 'see' before I leave for my trip.

More eBay stuff & Mother's Day cards.

Good evening!

As I promised, I'd make this post at the end of this week, and since it's Friday it means that it's time for some cheap stuff from eBay!

Let's start with some jewellery stands! I've been fighting with my jewellery for a while now since I'm starting to have quite a lot and there's no good place for them, so I decided to check eBay for some nice jewellery stands and/or displays.

And I found some!
I ended up getting two stands for my earrings, one for bracelets and one for necklaces (still haven't received that one..). And at some point I'm going to get one for my rings.
I'm also planning on making one myself, for my stud earrings.

Anyway, some pictures!

^ Two lovely pink metal stands! There were also white and black ones, but I chose this.
And after taking the pictures I realized that my engagement ring is hanging on the left one :D

^ Bracelet stand with very bad picture quality. And this was the best I got :/
The snowball looking thing is a project I'm working on.. Not that you can see much in this picture :F

.......

Then I bought myself a nail lacquer set that has base and top coat (trying to make the top coat into a matte top coat, but so far no success :P ) and a new lipstick which ended up being more pink that I thought it would be.
But I can still use it, so no problems!

^ Fräulein3°8 base & top coat.

^ Heng Fang (?) Balm lipstick.

.......

Let's see.. Then I finally found myself new bras! And some cute slippers since my toes are always freezing.
However, I ended up using the pictures from eBay, since I didn't get any good pictures myself. And trust me, I tried :D

^ Tadah! The top two bras I got both in black, the slippers in pink and the last bra in red/black.
Finally some bras with enough support!

Aren't the slippers just so CUTE?! ..I actually cut off their tails and gave them to our cats. Only one left :P

.......

So those were the items I've gotten in the past two or three weeks.
What next?

Well, Mother's Day of course! In Finland it's celebrated on the 2nd. Sunday of May.
And I do my best to make every card myself, be it Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Days etc.
I made three cards today, but I managed to put one into an envelope before taking pictures, so I only have two to show.

^ 3d rose card I'm going to give my mother. The golden sticker says "To mother" in Finnish.
Rose has many layers of paper stuck together to make it rise from the card.

^ And this is one I'm going to send to my other Grandmother. In this card, the golden sticker says "To grandmother" in Finnish.
I used a poppy stamp to make the flower, then slightly coloured it to give it some life.

.......

As you can probably see, I like to keep my cards quite simple.

Anyway, That's all for today! I'd be doing my best to post at least once a week. Of course, if nothing happens I might not. However I do my best to keep myself busy, so I'll also have something to report about. :)

Have a great weekend everyone, and to those who'll be celebrating Mother's Day soon, don't forget to send your Mother a card if you can't visit them!
