Walldecor.

Hello!

This one is going to be a smaller post, more like an "update". Just couple things I got done today. First three I'm going to keep myself and hang in our living room. Still not sure what I'm going to do with the last one.
Might take it to my work place and give it to my co-workers. The theme fits the cake boutique quite nicely :)

I made these using some plain frames (removing the glass from them), cotton fabric, burlap for the flowers (which I burned) and brads. For the smaller one with golden frames I only used cotton fabric (for now). Here's a link to the site & page I took the idea from: Framed Burnt Fabric . Check it out! :)
Took me a while to find the page again >_>...

The black ones are bigger than the golden one (the flower in the bigger ones wouldn't fit the golden frame).

^ Here's the first three pieces I made. The background is "Vintage" French Macaron themed cotton fabric I bought from eBay. Also have the same fabric in more pastel colours (used on the one below).

^ This is the smaller one, with only a piece of fabric. Thinking of adding some golden buttons etc. to the frame to make it stand out more. Maybe. Still not sure. :P

And that's that! Posting again in couple days when I make those cupcakes! And as soon as I fix one of my cellphone cases I'll post about them too. :)

Bags!

Hello and long time no see!

I have been quite busy/tired the past week so I haven't gotten anything done really. I had work for the past four days and by the time I was home I was too tired to do anything, and it was already getting dark enough to have problems taking pictures.

But I finally got the bag I ordered from eBay! So now I can make my "favourite bags" post.

So, of course, starting with the newest bag. It's a black leather (haven't bothered to check if it's real.. doubt it) with golden metal parts and black lace in the front. Price was around 10 British pounds, so I think somewhere around 15€.

^ Tadah! And the lining is very cute! Large dark brown polka dots :)
And has a long shoulder strap too, so I can carry it in many ways.

Next is the smallest bag I own, which I got from Lumous Festival XII (a "gothic" festival). Nothing that special about it (the festival), but the bag/clutch is very pretty and feminine. If I remember correct, this one was 20€.

^ Woah! I really love the huge flower it has. And the lining is cute too! <3

Things keep happening

Hello, hello.

I finally got the painting to a point where I can say it's done. At least for now. I think I'm going to add something to it, but I'm going to need some Roman numbers and some clock hands. But I don't feel like spending money on anything atm, since our budget is really small.

Anyway, I'm going to post pictures of the painting.

It is a Victorian steampunk styled painting, I hope at least. Tell me what you think and how you see it. Does the red around the flowers look more like rust or blood? Well, I can tell myself that it's nowhere near perfect or anything like that, but I did get to try our my fiancés air brush compressor and the new gear stencil I had.

^ Here you can see the whole thing.

^ And here is a close-up of the "main part" of the painting. So, blood or rust? :P Or perhaps it's just a big mess..

Well, like I stated already, it's nowhere near perfect and not 100% done, but it's in a point where it doesn't look that "unfinished". I think. I hope. Any thoughts? :F

Oh and, our younger cat is having a phantom pregnancy, hallelujah. Now just keeping my fingers and toes crossed that her swollen mammary gland won't start to hurt or get infected. I really could live my life without any unnecessary vet bills to pay.
I still need to pay my dentist bills, and even thought I'm happy to find out that I have great teeth and all, I'm not happy at all the pay the bills..

Oh well, I can't start stressing about unpaid bills. I'm trying to hard not to stress about things, I really need a stress free life, even if it's only for few days.

That's that for now! I still haven't gotten my bag (argh!) , so for now there's no bag post coming. Maybe next week? Please? ;__;

Trying something new

Hello! Has anyone tried anything new recently?
I've been quite busy the past few days, I'm working on a new painting and I visited a friend. Also resizing some doll clothes for his dolls. And this and that.

Anyway, there was this drink I've been wanting to try out for a while, and so far I've only found it in one store in Finland. Well, I was out with my friend and I saw the bottle again (there was other flavours too, but I've wanted to try out this one the most), so I thought, why not, let's try it.

^ Here's what it looks like. Arizona Green Tea with Honey. Delicious! And the bottle is so pretty too. Definitely going to be one of my favourites. Can't wait to taste the other flavours too. If I remember it right, it was a bit over 3€ for the bottle (sounds expensive, but the bottle contains almost 0,5L so it's not a bad deal), and I got it from Arnolds.

Do try out it if you like green tea drinks! And why not just for the bottle, it's pretty :)
I'd love to post about the painting already, but I've been busy with other things so it's progressing quite slowly. But hey! Maybe I'll get to make a post about my bags! I promised a friend of mine to make one, since summer is coming slowly, and I ordered a new bag (hoping to get it tomorrow!), which I can't wait to use!
It got pretty dark early today, and my neck is feeling a bit stiff again, so I didn't work much on the painting, but I did try out this one lovely little thing that was so interesting that I needed to try it out!

So! It is a DIY solid perfume pendant. Luckily I had gotten this pendant from my friend, so I didn't have to go hunting for one. I saw this on Youtube ( DIY Perfume pendant (CutiepieMarzia) ), check it out! From there you can find all the instructions and items you need. Plus all other cool things to try out (I know I'm going to :3 ) !

^ Cute little purse :)

^ Looking like a cancer when opened, but at least it smells good.

I hope to finish the painting tomorrow, but not promising anything. Also hoping to get the bag already, I can't wait for it! :D
Anyway, I hope I get something to post about! I'm also in progress of couple other wall pieces and decorating my cellphone cases. So many things to post about :3

That was that, see you!

Ebay purchases 1. And happy International Women's Day!

Hello hello. I didn't get to post yesterday, I was a bit busy and getting up early was very tiring. So I spent all the bright time napping after I got home and then it was already dark outside, and I can't take any good photos with my cellphone if it's dark.

So, this will be my very first eBay purchase post. I'll be posting some of the most resent items I've got.

I've been really getting into golden accessories and jewellery lately, and I also wanted to try out some leopard print. Thank goodness we have eBay, so if something doesn't look good on me, I won't be losing much, since most items I buy are very cheap. :)

^ First is a pair of earrings and a hair piece (thought I prefer using it as a necklace).

^ And then I got two leopard printed scarves. The one on the left is bigger, and the one on the right is very slim and has small fabric "rose" to it. The rose has a clip so I can take it off and put on my hair if I want to.

^ Then I got some Japanese 100% cotton for my craft projects! I'm making some wall decor with these, I bought some frames today, I'll try to post more about them tomorrow. There were so many different kind of patterns to choose from, but I eventually decided on these three.

Last but not least, I got some cellphone rhinestone stickers and some loose gemstones. Going to decorate my cellphone covers with them. I'll see if I get to post about them tomorrow or the day after that. Going to make three different kinds. Wait for it ;)

.......

So there! Some of the new stuff I have. Probably going to get more next week. Also going to post about the wall decor I'm making. I'll be adding a link to the page I first found the ideas, in case someone else wants to try!

Did anyone buy something nice for themselves, or perhaps someone else? Or did someone receive something nice? Please share your thoughts!

I lost my wisdom

Hello!

Today I got my first wisdom tooth removed. And I forgot to ask if I could keep it. I wanted to use it for jewellery making. :/

It has been around five hours since they pulled the tooth out, but it doesn't even hurt. Worst part for me was actually the needle they need to use for the local anaesthesia. They had to use some numbing spray on my gums first, or they wouldn't have had any chance with the needle. I am terrified of needles..

Our older cat keeps on meowing at our bedroom door. Poor thing. But she pees on the bed and messes up the closets so we can't let her there.

^ Here she is. Her name is Pöpö, and she'll be two years old in few days.

^ And here is our younger cat, Pikku Myy (Little My) and she's around six months old.

They sure make life much more enjoyable, even when they do something they're not supposed to. ;)

Anyway! I got some eBay stuff, and I'm going to post about them tomorrow, I received a note that I've got a bigger package waiting for me at the post office, so I'll be going to get it tomorrow.

And this was a shorter post, I have to make some sugarpaste ice skates for tomorrow, and I need to cook before my fiancé gets home.

Anyone here have bad memories from dentists? ;)

"Painting"

And good morning people!

I had a little crafty-artsy-thingy going on yesterday, but I didn't get time to post it since we had the guests over here, and I was so into making the whole thing that I got a stiff neck which caused me the usual horrible neck pain. So I had to take a nap to help me relax my shoulders. I can still feel the stiffness..

Anyway! I love silhouette paintings, especially with trees and other plants and such in them, and wanted to try out making one myself. Well, I don't really have much paints yet, so I used my soft pastel chalks. I originally got them for my hair (to try out the dip colouring = nope), but since that failed, I thought, why not use them for this?

^ And here's the pastels I was using. So far I've only gotten reds, blues and purples, but I'll be getting some more soon.

^ Here's the 'painting' after only using the pastels.

^ And here's the finished piece after I painted the tree branch there. I hope it looks like a tree branch :P
And the rays of light are coming from my lamp..

.......

Trust me, it looks better in reality.. However, I am quite pleased by it, for being my first try. Next I want to try different coloured backgrounds. My fiance wants one with black on top and more yellow to the bottom.

Any opinions? Is it good or bad.. Please be gentle, I am only beginning, it has been years since the last time I did anything like this. :)

Good luck?!

Whew. It got so busy for the past two days I had trouble keeping up.

Yesterday I had scheduled to go shopping with my fiancé after he got out of work. Well, I was putting on my makeup when I got a text from my boss, asking if I could do her a favour (I'm a part-timer at a small cake boutique). She had overslept and needed some assist in making cake toppers for a two-tier cake. Sure, why not, I got me some cash :3

Anyway, after I was done with my makeup, off I go to make some sugarpaste cars. After that it was almost time my fiancé got to the town center, so I put my stuff together and started to walk towards our meeting point. Well, of course I couldn't help myself when I was walking past this mall (called Sokos), and saw that there was this Kutsu Kauneuteen (Invitation to Beauty) happening, which of course meant lower prices.

Can't pass of that now can I? Well, I was lucky, I finally found myself a good looking bronzer (and this is good, for I have been using brown eyeshadow  until now...).

^ It is from this quite new Finnish brand called We Care Icon. There isn't much information available about them, but if I remember it correct, some of the money goes to helping the Baltic Sea (at least at some point it was.). Anyway, I've been looking for a good bronzer for months, but they're always so shimmery, but this one isn't. And it was on sale too.

I also have couple other products from this brand, and so far they've been the best. Very good on my sensitive skin too. I've had concealer (which has been hard to find for my pale yellowish skin) and last Christmas I got a hand- and footcream set from my grandma.
