Flea market & Heureka trip!

It's been a while. Last time I mentioned about my trip to Heureka with two friends to see The Body Worlds exhibition.
It was amazing! Science has come a long way, it's stunning. The way they preserve the bodies and organs. Wow. Definitely check it out if you dare.

Took couple of pictures while we were there. Mostly outside, the weather was nice. Barely any clouds and sun was shining (..burning). So I decided to wear a skirt that day. And even after a week my left thigh is still sore from the trip. :P
Nothing like sweaty and warm summer day with big thighs rubbing against each other until you bleed.

Anyway, I'll post couple pictures and then move on with my other story (Flea market haul!♥).
(I know I promised to make a post about nail varnishes, but it's taking me a lot longer to get done than I thought..)

^ The large "stone garden" of Heureka.

^ This pond was right next to Heureka and as you can see, the weather really is great.

^ We took quite a lot of pictures, but mostly with my friends better camera. I love this river that flows right next to Heureka, behind the pond from the last picture.

^ And yeah.. My pale feet! I'm surprised I didn't burn myself.

.......

Anyway, we had so much fun going there, even thought we had few problems... But hey, three baker-confectioners trying to figure out a car? I bet we looked so pathetic and lost so we got help without even asking for it.
And then we got lost... :D
But we finally made it to Heureka and had so much fun with those dead bodies.♥

.......

And that's all for the Heureka trip. Now it's time for my flea market haul!

It was last weeks umm... Wednesday I think, when I went out with my friend to check out one big flea market at Tampere centre.

At first I didn't really buy anything, since I didn't have a lot of money to use, but later my fiancé called and said that I could buy something more "expensive" if I wanted to.

So what did I get?

^ I don't know if I've told this yet, but I absolutely love Moomins! Anything to do with them etcetc. So I couldn't resist when I saw this canvas tote for 5€. And it has this tiny apron inside! It's a kids size, but I don't care. Maybe I'll make our cats wear it..

^ And yeah, more Moomin stuff. It says "Here lives" in Finnish.
I have two reason why I got this. My long time friend (we've know each other ever since we were four) had a plaque like this in her room, and I think it's still in that room, even thought she doesn't live there anymore. And the second reason was of course, Moomins. And it was only 50cents. ♥

^ And then I got some black and rose coloured ribbons for my crafts. 1,50€/piece, not bad.

^ And a RED bag! Oh my oh my! It was only 5€, in perfect condition and I just fell in love with it. I finally have a red handbag!♥
Really liking the crocodile skin pattern it has.. :3

.......

And the friend I was with actually got me something too! (Can't remember where it was from...)
Anyway, he had two and wanted to give the other one to me, and I got to choose from golden or blue. Golden of course, since I barely use blue.

^ Makeup! Aww yeah! I do like the turquoise eyeshadows too, works great with gold and browns.
And I love the nail varnish it has! Just perfect!

^ Yay! Also liking the lip gloss, even thought I rarely use them. Guess I just have to start ;)

.......

And that's it for today. I need to go and do my hair before I leave for Tampere centre again. Have some shopping to do before my trip.
Which I still have not mentioned. I am leaving tomorrow to go to Nummela! My little brother is graduating, so I'll be going there to help organize his party and meet some relatives. I'll be gone for a week, but I'll try to post something even when I'm there. :)

I can't wait! I've been working for a sugarpaste decoration for my brothers cake, and I also made a card for him. Maybe I'll try and make a small post while I'm there, and show you those! And everything else my mom and I will be making for the party.

Wait for it! See you guys.

Cats!

Hello!

I have so much to write about, and so much more to come!
It's just getting so hot and humid, I'm feeling sick, tired and annoyed almost every day, already wishing for Autumn to come..

But, struggling with pure will power! I've been through worse.

Anyway, today I'll be posting about some things we got our cats, since our girls haven't gotten anything special in a long time.

.......

We ordered a big box full of quality cat food, couple treats, a "rustle tunnel" and a brush to get rid of loose cat hair.

Of course, the box itself is for the cats, since our older one (Pöpö) really loves her boxes.
As you can see..

^ Ever since she was just a tiny kitten, boxes have been the greatest.

^ She can no longer fit in this box. It was also from the same company (Musti & Mirri) that we the newer stuffs last week.

^ Most recent picture, taken last week I think. She can barely squeeze herself into the box, and won't let our younger cat (Myy) go close to any of them.

.......

But first, the food and treats we got! There's couple brands of cat food that our cats really love, but since they're somewhat pricey for their size, we buy them only sometimes. However, they're the best quality in my opinion.

^ Looking nicely filled! The brands we buy from the pet store are Applaws and Petite Cuisine. They look and smell so good I might have to taste them someday.. :P

^ And here's the treats! Let's Bite! Chicken sandwich pieces, dried European cisco and Whiskas crunchy bites.
Cat's went crazy when I opened the box, since the smell of European cisco was quite strong..

.......

Next in line we have the "rustle tunnel" and the silicone brush.

^ We thought the tunnel would be slightly longer, but it's ok. We just need to buy more and combine them :P
The brush is also very nice, great quality. Thought our cats are somewhat disturbed by it, but they let me brush them for a while with it. And.. If our cats won't like it, I'll just use it to brush my cellulite on my thighs :D

.......

We were surprised to see that Myy actually likes the "rustle tunnel" more than Pöpö. After all, she's easily scared by odd and sudden sounds, but I guess she fancies the tunnel since it's a bit like a "hiding place", even when it's not long enough to actually hide her..

^ She's grown quite nicely.

^ Sniffing to see if it's safe...

^ Works like magic!♥

.......

And I guess that's all for today. I need to go to sleep earlier, since I'll be going out with a couple of old classmates. One of them is moving away, so the three of us are going out and enjoying our time.
Today we went to see the Jurassic Park 3D, and damn those sudden loud noises made me jump from my seat.. Luckily I was not the only one :D
And tomorrow we're going to Heureka, the Finnish science centre! I can't wait, it's been so long since the last time I was there, and now they're holding the Body Worlds exhibition!

I can't wait! Too bad I can't take pictures in there, but maybe most of you aren't as exited about dead bodies as I am :P

But that's it for now, see you next time!

Better view of my newest necklaces & Happy Mother's Day!

Tadah!
It feels like I've been gone for weeks. I've been quite bored lately and haven't felt like actually doing something after making those Mother's Day cards, however I've managed to take many pictures of things I'm going to post about (some day).

There's going to be post about nail varnishes. And also one post that will probably cover everything about my skin-, hair- and nail care. Unless I get carried away.

But today I'm going to show you my newest additions to my necklace "collection". Two I've already shown before, but I think you'll get a better view through these pictures.
And I was actually lucky to have such a great weather outside, so I didn't have to use Photogram to make them look better.

^ 1. & 2. I've already shown you guys, but here you can see how they actually look on my neck, plus the colours on the flower ball are brighter.
3. necklace is a new one. The quality isn't the greatest, but I got it mainly for the reason that I might break it apart and use the flowers for something else :P

^ 4. this one I also got so that I could use it for something else. Mainly because it has so many chains and the cost was 0,99£
5. I've really come to like this one. At first I thought I'd use the chain for something else, but after I put it on, I decided to keep it as it is.

.......

And that was it! Well, not totally. I have to tell someone how much I've also come to like the gold & white flower earrings I got a while ago. And I actually managed to take somewhat good picture of myself wearing them, and also being able to show their size better.

^ Yay, freckles!♥

.......

But the best thing that happened in the past few days? My fiancé got himself a new HTC One, so it also means that I can finally get better pictures to show everyone! :D

I think that's all for today, I'll be going to bed soon, sooo...

Opening of the ice cream season!

Howdy!

It keeps getting warmer everyday, and I'm starting to suffocate. +15 Celcius and I'm at my limit.

So my fiancé and I decided to open our ice cream season and bought our first ice creams of the summer. He got the new Fazer Kismet ice cream (no photo), and I decided to go for my favourite ice cream: Fazer Salmiakki!♥

^ Pay no mind to my horrid nail. I'm doing my best to grow them out again ;__;

^ Omnomnom!

.......

Best ever! Only ice cream out there that actually tastes like real Salmiakki (salty liquorice), in my opinion. I need to taste that Kismet ice cream too, apparently it was great.

Tell me, what is/are your favourite(s)?

More eBay stuff & Mother's Day cards.

Good evening!

As I promised, I'd make this post at the end of this week, and since it's Friday it means that it's time for some cheap stuff from eBay!

Let's start with some jewellery stands! I've been fighting with my jewellery for a while now since I'm starting to have quite a lot and there's no good place for them, so I decided to check eBay for some nice jewellery stands and/or displays.

And I found some!
I ended up getting two stands for my earrings, one for bracelets and one for necklaces (still haven't received that one..). And at some point I'm going to get one for my rings.
I'm also planning on making one myself, for my stud earrings.

Anyway, some pictures!

^ Two lovely pink metal stands! There were also white and black ones, but I chose this.
And after taking the pictures I realized that my engagement ring is hanging on the left one :D

^ Bracelet stand with very bad picture quality. And this was the best I got :/
The snowball looking thing is a project I'm working on.. Not that you can see much in this picture :F

.......

Then I bought myself a nail lacquer set that has base and top coat (trying to make the top coat into a matte top coat, but so far no success :P ) and a new lipstick which ended up being more pink that I thought it would be.
But I can still use it, so no problems!

^ Fräulein3°8 base & top coat.

^ Heng Fang (?) Balm lipstick.

.......

Let's see.. Then I finally found myself new bras! And some cute slippers since my toes are always freezing.
However, I ended up using the pictures from eBay, since I didn't get any good pictures myself. And trust me, I tried :D

^ Tadah! The top two bras I got both in black, the slippers in pink and the last bra in red/black.
Finally some bras with enough support!

Aren't the slippers just so CUTE?! ..I actually cut off their tails and gave them to our cats. Only one left :P

.......

So those were the items I've gotten in the past two or three weeks.
What next?

Well, Mother's Day of course! In Finland it's celebrated on the 2nd. Sunday of May.
And I do my best to make every card myself, be it Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Days etc.
I made three cards today, but I managed to put one into an envelope before taking pictures, so I only have two to show.

^ 3d rose card I'm going to give my mother. The golden sticker says "To mother" in Finnish.
Rose has many layers of paper stuck together to make it rise from the card.

^ And this is one I'm going to send to my other Grandmother. In this card, the golden sticker says "To grandmother" in Finnish.
I used a poppy stamp to make the flower, then slightly coloured it to give it some life.

.......

As you can probably see, I like to keep my cards quite simple.

Anyway, That's all for today! I'd be doing my best to post at least once a week. Of course, if nothing happens I might not. However I do my best to keep myself busy, so I'll also have something to report about. :)

Have a great weekend everyone, and to those who'll be celebrating Mother's Day soon, don't forget to send your Mother a card if you can't visit them!
