Finally, my favourite shoes!

Whew. This week has gone past so fast. But I finally made it, and got this post done!
At first I wasn't sure if I'd actually make it this week, but I did! I'm not that proud of myself thought, since this post was supposed to be up last Sunday :P

But life happens when you don't want it to.

Anyway, on with the show!

I won't be posting about my winter boots since I'm not using them any more, so this is going to have only my spring/autumn and couple summer shoes.
(Some of the pictures are very dark, even thought I had all the possible lighting.. I even used a torch.. :F )

.......

First let's start with the pair I've already mentioned couple of times. My Jeffrey Campbell Spike Litas. I was actually very lucky with these. They were on sale so I got them for around 120-130€. Not sure.. They were 95£ plus postage..
Anyway, normally they would've been (at least on some sites..) 150£ or more.. Which is a lot! And in Finland the price would be even higher (200€ on one site..).

^ Tadah! I really love these shoes, they're the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, and they look magnificent! Heel is 13cm, platform is 5-6cm.

.......

Next is another lucky find! My lovely Lola Ramona Pippi boots! I also got these from sale. I had been drooling after these boots for a year, but the price had always been way too high for me until I found my way to their original site...
They were only around 100€! <3 (Original price from Finnish retailer was over 300€ if I remember it correct..) They were on sale since they're no longer available.

^ I had to stuff one of the shoes with bubble wrap and a stick to make it stay up.. :P
And the white stripes ended up looking yellow for some unknown reason.. But they're white! Well.. Cream coloured.. :D
Heel is 10cm, platform is 2cm.

.......

And here we have another pair of boots; Blowfish Toshi. And they're my very first pair of flat boots. I really love the design on these boots, and they were originally bought to be my winter boots, however.. They have openings right on top of my foot.
So there's no way I could walk in the show with these on. I can't remember the price, I think it was around 50€.. They're no longer sold at the site I got them from.. :/

^ More low quality pictures. But at least the details show up nicely in the close-up picture :)
(The opening I mentioned, is right under the most bottom 'button', and is about 10cm x 5cm big.)

.......

Next is a pair of red suede ankle boots. They're Andiamo's Bernice, and I got them from Finnish shoe shop Kookenkä. There was a short time sale for these boots, so I got them for 40€, instead of the original price of 60€.
They're also my very first pair of red shoes.

^ Again, with crappy quality.
Heel is around 9cm, platform is 3cm.

.......

Then we have a pair of grey ankle boots/heels I got from eBay for 20€. Originally the heel was also grey, but I added some lace to them, and three black rhinestones to the side.

^ Finally I was able to take 'not-so-dark' picture, thought one of the shoes looks like it's falling :P
My craft project with these is not complete, I need to get something (Mod Podge? :D) to cover all the lace on the heels.
Heel is 11cm, platform is 2cm.

.......

Three more to go!
Here's a more formal pair of black heels. They don't have any "amazing details" on them, but that's how I wanted these. I've had a huge problem finding heels for me, since I need ones with something to strap them on (My other leg is smaller than the other, so without ankle straps and such one shoe would always come off.. Cinderella moments!).
But finally, my dearly beloved eBay was there to help me! And with only 30€, it was not a bad deal at all.

^ I fell in love with the lacing detail on these. And they stay on my feet without any problems!
Heel is 10cm, platform is 1,5cm.

.......

Next is a pair of black ankle boots/heels I got from Finnish version of site Brandos. Wildflower: Stylish by Kenza
They were on sale, and were 68€. I think. Normal price is 99€.
They're very high, but still feel very comfortable to wear.

^ Love all the details.
Heel is 12cm, platform is 1cm.

.......

And last, but not least, is my only pair of white shoes. I got these from a Finnish online auction house for 15€.
These are also quite high, but still very easy to wear.

^ And I love the crocodile skin pattern on these.
Heel is 13cm, platform is 3cm.

.......

Hope you enjoyed, I know I did!
Next post is going to be about my recent eBay purchases, and hopefully I'll get more stuff next week, so the post is probably up on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. But I'm doing my best and hoping for Friday!

And now I gotta go. I've been fixing my pants for the past two days and I'm still only half way done.. I'd really need new ones. I also need new pants to exercise in buuuut.. Not sure when we have enough money to buy both.

I really want to start taking long walks again, now that it's still not too hot outside, and not wet either.

That's all for today! Hope you had a great weekend and good luck with Monday!

New game & eBay purchases!

Hello!

It's been raining for the past two days (weather report! whoo..), and pretty much all of the snow has melted away!

And that means I can start wearing my heels again! Which also means that the next post is going to be about shoes!

But not this one. Nope. This is going to be about the "new" game I bought today. And eBay jewellery I got.

.......

But first the game! I got it from Gamestop for 10,90€ (1€ for one year guarantee), because it was used. And the game is.....

Yay! Alice: Madness Returns!

I can't wait to play it. It's very pretty and dark, so perfect for me. And since I got it so cheap, I don't mind if it sucks :P

.......

And now for the jewellery!
As I have told before, I've only recently gotten into wearing golden jewellery, and I didn't really have any, so I decided to get some from eBay, since it would be cheap and easy way to get them. And get something that you won't see everyone wearing.

I tried my best to choose the best filtering for the pictures, so that the colours would stand out better... But.. yah.. You tell me.. I think these pics look like crap :P

^ Here is golden/white flower earrings and a long golden pendant with floral ball. The ball has three different colours in it; pink, pastel green and pastel purple.

^ This one is more... "not-that-cute". :P
I dunno how I should describe it. More "mature" than all the flower stuff I have? :D

^ And these two are brooches. Black/white and pink/white. The black/white isn't all round, it had some trouble surviving the trip from china. But oh well. It wasn't that expensive, and it's not broken, so I can still wear it.
And they can be worn as rings too! ..And maybe even hair accessories if I added some bangles or clips to them..

.......

So that's it for the eBay stuff.

I have work tomorrow, so I'll probably get to make the next post on Sunday, or next week. We'll see.

Here's a picture of what I just made in a hurry (hence the crappyness of these... things..)
Yup. 50/50 of baby blue marzipan and white sugarpaste, made into small figurines and such.

^ Teddy bear, Angry Birds pig.., mermaid/fairy, Hello Kitty, "flower/mushroom", small racing car.. And a Hattifattener (the odd thing in the middle..)! :D <3

.......

I've also had some problems with my left eye.. It's been watering for the past two weeks now, and it's getting really annoying. And it's messing up my makeup..
Maybe it's an infection or something, even thought my eye isn't red or sore.. Or anything.
It just waters. Thought last week I did have almost constant myokymia on it.

Well, I think I'll wait another week, and if it still hasn't gone away, I'll go see a doctor.
I don't like having to wipe away tears all the time.

15 April 2013

Very nostalgic. Long post.

Eeeyyy.

I finally got back from my trip to Nummela.

I was supposed to come back earlier (Thu-Fri), but I had so much to do that I ended up coming back yesterday (Sun).

It was great to spend so much time back there (I hadn't been there for two years!), so much had changed! Many new buildings, stores changing places and such. Very nostalgic.

And I got to spend time with my best friend! As I told in my last post, we went to Helsinki. And I did buy some stuff from there.

Which was Japanese candy and more of the Arizona tea drinks. :P

^ Green tea & peach candies, strawberry Hello Kitty pockys, and tea! Green tea with honey and white tea with blueberries. Nom.

10 April 2013

Latest project and new bracelets.

It has been a busy week once again.

I haven't gotten a chance to post earlier, and on Monday I went on a trip to visit my mother. So here I am, in Nummela, Finland. Still snow everywhere but spring is trying it's best. I'll be staying here till Friday, and then it's back to Tampere.

I haven't been here in two years. It's amazing how fast time goes by. So much has changed in here.

I also got a chance to meet my best friend and check out her apartment (I want it!). And trying to go and see my grandma tonight. And tomorrow it's my old school, going to go and say HI! to my old teachers.

So, anyway. I had a little jewellery project last Sunday, and today I finally had the time to take pictures.

I didn't even have internet connection until yesterday evening. My mother couldn't remember the password, and my brother is on a trip with my dad (Climbing to Himalayas! Check out Rhododendron Forest at Nepal . Amazing! ). But finally my mother got a text message from my brother, telling where they were at the moment (Tengboche Monastery) and also the password for the wireless connection.

.......

But, that's that for now, let's move on to the pictures of my jewellery project!
I had this very pretty long necklace that had a big filigree ball with a pearl inside it. But I wanted to make it stand out more. And I also wanted something to fit it.

So I bought four filigree golden leaves from eBay, and made them into earrings, pendant and a ring. I also added some pearls to the chain, and glued a flatback pearl to the ring.

^ And here they are! You can see the filigree ball in the first picture, that was the only thing in the original necklace (plus the chain of course). Personally I think they came out nice. I like how the pearls go with the golden leaves.

.......

And here are the new bracelets I got! I also have silver coloured zipper bracelet, but I left it at home. They're quite hard to get on my arms sometimes, but usually with brute force and some swear words I get them on. Taking them off is another story...

But yeah! I really like these, and they were quite cheap too. Zipper bracelets were 0,99 British pounds (1,20€), the middle bangle was a bit more, 2,something Brithis pounds, and the braided one was also 0,99 British pounds. So not bad, if you ask me.

^ Bling Bling!

.......

And that's it! I'll be posting more soon, I just got a call from my friend, and we'll be going to Helsinki for a while. Hanging around, maybe shopping something for her (because I have no extra money atm... so nothing for me :P  ), and yeah. Going to check out one cupcake shop there!

Cupcakes!

Good evening!

So, my friend was finally having her house warming party, and everyone was supposed to bring something. So of course I'd be making Cupcakes! :)

I'll add the recipe to the end, so first, let us enjoy some crappy quality pictures!

^ Here is pictures of the cupcakes with and without frosting. I just love rose piping so much, it makes the cupcakes look so, well, rosy! <3

^ And here they are decorated! Most of them had these bronze/goldish flower "buttons", two had big white roses and one had a jewel, but that one was taken before I had a chance to take any pictures! I think my friends daughter actually took the sugarpaste decor and decided to keep it. :)

I used basic cupcake recipe for the base, my own "recipe" for the frosting and sugarpaste, food colourings and moulds/cutters for the decorations. And of course some piping bags and nozzles (if you feel like piping).
